Canadian Pride
Leaving the island out in the Atlantic
Travelling westward Peace in my mind
Crossing the Gulf Stream In to Nova Scotia
Checking the country out taking my time
Moved on to New Brunswick Caught up in Ore Mountain
Rested in charlotte town on old P.E.I.
Leaving the east coast and all of its beauty
Not even a rich man can could ever good-bye
Here’s to the country that I love and were I live
I wouldn’t trade it for all of your gold
And you can cross the Rocky Mountains and the prairies to the seas
And you can show Canadian pride wherever you go
Moved on to Quebec has the evening was fading
Met up with some people who gave me a smile
Spent the whole night there Warming up to the language
The flag of this country they held it up high
Welcome to Ontario Well that’s what the sign says
We’re keeping it lovely so you can enjoy
Hitching a ride to a place called Toronto
Loving this country Each and every mile
Here’s to the country that I love and were I live
I wouldn’t trade it for all of your gold
And you can cross the Rocky Mountains and the prairies to the seas
And you can show Canadian pride wherever you go
Moved on to old Winnipeg Out in Manitoba
Took in the scenery on portage and main
Set into Saskatchewan the pride of the prairies
Those friendly people treat you the same
Out in Alberta the oilrigs are pumping
Keeping the country sliding in gold
West Edmonton mall there titanic of playgrounds
It’s a world wonder Sight to behold
I tasted the salt air on the docks in Vancouver
Continuous tubs move ships come and leave
A breeze from the ocean kept brushing my body
Moving me north ward so I believe
Here’s to the country that I love and were I live
I wouldn’t trade it for all of your gold
And you can cross the Rocky Mountains and the prairies to the seas
And you can show Canadian pride wherever you go
From downtown in white horse Up in the Yukon
The glistening snow caps go as far as you see
To the rock they call Yellowknife and oh great the slave lake
And proud to stand up for in wt
I travelled this country one end to the other
Met lots of people would pass (not sure of the rest of this line)
The lord of this land man the right to your freedom
Is easy to see from Right here where I live
Here’s to the country that I love and well I live
I wouldn’t trade it for all of your gold
And you can cross the Rocky Mountains
And the prairies to the seas
And you can show Canadian pride wherever you go
To this country I love that island
I wouldn’t trade it for all of your gold
You can cross the Rocky Mountains And the prairies to the seas
And you can show Canadian pride wherever you go
