Soldiers in dreams are like lovers that come without warning
And take you by suprise when you think you must make it alone
And sooner or later their presence is only a memory
But you know that without them you'd never have rolled back the stone.

As lovers lie sleeping I find myself travelling towards you
The morning arises the wind is as soft as a sight
And the silence of angels means praying is just and illusion
The pain and the passion, the tears and the laughs and the lies.

May darling once told me that loving was better than living
I told her survival for me was the easier game
I couldn't live with her and now it's I can't live without her
I thought I'd feel different, but somehow I still feel the same

(Interlude)
If lovers are losers than what price the game we are playing
And what price the man who has not got the money to pay
Whatevers before me is nothing to what I have come through
For the lost and the lonely, and those who have nothing to say

May darling once told me that loving was better than living
I told her survival for me was the easier game
I couldn't live with her and now it's I can't live without her
I thought I'd feel different, but somehow I still feel the same

A note from the contributor.

The interlude/bridge thing may be a bit rough, as I had trouble
getting it to sound right with the recording. Also, there's a pattern
between Em and A in the verse that I'm not to sure on quite yet
{although, unlike the D - G transition, it sounds fine without it}
