The Dory Boat Man

I fish for a living, I got a wife and two children
When the sun says good morning I say goodbye to the land
I love the feel of my jigger on the tips of my fingers
As the sea gulls look down on the dory boat man

You can keep your longliners and your fancy fish finders
I owe no man nothing and I like what I am
So when you're out fishing toss a wave my direction
You got a friend after meeting the dory boat man

My pickup's a Chevy and she's always dirty
But we're always ready to lend you a hand
I get a moose every winter and you're welcome to dinner
So come down and visit the dory boat man

You can keep your longliners and your fancy fish finders
I owe no man nothing and I like what I am
So when you're out fishing toss a wave my direction
You got a friend after meeting the dory boat man

Can't wait for the weather to get a little better
'Cause I don't like the feeling when I'm stuck on the land
The fish they're a waiting and I'm getting impatient
There's fish in the blood of the dory boat man

You can keep your longliners and your fancy fish finders
I owe no man nothing and I like what I am
So when you're out fishing toss a wave my direction
You got a friend after meeting the dory boat man
