Grandpa's Motorboat

Grandpa loved his motorboat all the days of his life
Wouldn't trade it for a pot of gold; rather part with his wife
He was up every morning at 5 o clock fishin in the cold cold sea
But at night when he got home Grandma said "Take your cold, cold hands off of me"

He'd listen to Garner Ted Armstrong & he listened to the Sunday news
He don't care too much bout money; he never heard of Howard Hughes
& he thinks that workin on Sunday is the biggest sin of all
He's got pictures of Oral Roberts hanging up on his wall

Grandpa loved his motorboat all the days of his life
Wouldn't trade it for a pot of gold; rather part with his wife
He was up every morning at 5 o clock fishin in the cold cold sea
But at night when he got home Grandma said "Take your cold, cold hands off of me"

Now he'll soon go home to glory in the sweet by & by
He's goin up with a tape to measure the gate it's gotta be nice & wide
When Jesus sees him coming & forgives all the times he's sinned
He'll turn right around & head right back downIf he can't take his motorboat in......

Grandpa loved his motorboat all the days of his life
Wouldn't trade it for a pot of gold; rather part with his wife
He was up every morning at 5 o clock fishin in the cold cold sea
But at night when he got home Grandma said "Take your cold, cold hands off of me"
